Being a kind soul makes me happy =]

[ 18th October 2009 ] Sunday - Back to Singapore from Taiwan

Yoz everyone, I'm back to Singapore and I reached around 8pm plus nearly to 9pm. Lol, it was a wonderful vacation though a week passed flies. Aww~ I missed my relatives and the food there. *Yummy* *Yummy* Let's begun my trip. Due to the philippines typhoon, most of the areas in Taiwan were flooded and raining cats and dogs for several weeks. (cooling weather forecast) During the whole week, it rained at Keelung which my mum were born and grew up since young. She married to my dad who was a Singaporean as we would visit my grandmother once or twice per year.

Before that, we stayed at home (Sunday -11th & Monday -12th October) to accompany my grandmother and hanged around at Keelung Night Market. On Tuesday (13th October), we went to pay a visit my mum's JC classmate at Shilin. (Taipei) We had to board the public bus and mrt before reaching our destination. Haha, I can tell you that the public bus was totally different. It's similar like excursion bus. *So comfortable* Her condominum was beautiful. She was learning arts and brush painting at the same time. Lol, I was astonished to admire her paint. *Incredible* After that, we went to have steamboat near her condominum area and a walked at Shilin Night Market. (Taipei) I bought a few clothes and tasted delicious finger foods. Hehe =p. We boarded the same transport back to Keelung. On Wednesday (13th October), my mum and I went to Keelung park to have our first photos. (our own) It was chilled in the afternoon. The wind was quite cooling when it blew onto my face.

On Thursday (14th October), we went to meet my mum's best sister and her youngest son. We had a sumptous dinner at Grand Formasa Regent Hotel. (Taipei) It was well-known of the International buffet and it's packed when it comes to peak hour. On Friday (15th October), we went to have lunch with my elder cousin at Macchio Coffee & Tea Cafe. (Keelung) My mum ordered Korean set lunch, my elder cousin ordered seafood baked pasta and I ordered their local curry chicken baked rice. It comes with a drink and dessert. (Tiramisu cake) I ordered a strawberry soda and my elder cousin ordered a milk tea. Haha, we shared among each another. Of course, photos must not be left out. Hehe =p. Around in the afternoon, we went to take transports (Keelung bus to Shilin mrt station and from Shilin station to Taipei Main Station) It's not ended yet. Taipei Main station was just like our City Hall Interchange. It's very big and it took us an hour plus. We changed from Taipei Main Station to Fuxing Technology Building Station. At first due to the peak hour, I was separated away from my mum. My mum boarded the first train and I boarded the next one. I did not see her and the train I'm in continued to move on. Lol, she went to the control station to request the staff to make an announcement (all the train stations) but I did not hear it at all. (I was still in the train) I find it amissed and I went to another side to take back. I asked a lady for help and fortuanately, I heard my mum calling me at the Fuxing Technology Building mrt station. What a close-shave. I thanked God if not I'm lost at Taipei such a big city which I'm not familiar.

The reason was to meet my mum's Uni professor and his family for Vegetarian dinner at a well-known restaurant. I forgot the name. Hehe =p. It was quite high class and the food was expensive indeed. On Saturday (16th October), we went to have a family lunch with my grandmother at a restaurant around our house area down the slope. After that, we went to the park with our cousins for a stroll after the heavy late lunch. We took photos together. Outside at the Goddness of Mercy Temple/praying area, it had a lot of childhood games we used to play. Lol, we played a few games and it was quite fun to capture old memories.

It started to dawn around 5-6pm, one hour earlier than Singapore. We were separated. My mum and I went to buy some Taiwan local products and dinner back home. Lol, my cousins went for a window-shopping at the Keelung Night Market. Every city has a night market. Around 10pm plus, that's definitely we must had a family photo as we were leaving to Singapore the next day. My 2nd cousin (the one who carried the dog as you would see the photos above) called my uncle over as he stayed around Keelung area too. Haha, as I mentioned one week past very fast especially the time over there. T.T Aww~ I missed the food. On Sunday 12pm plus (17th October -last day in Taiwan), my youngest cousin went to school, 2nd cousin went to work whom she stayed at her bf house every night and left my grandmother and elder cousin. Haha, we took photos again and we waited my mum's best sister husband to fetch us to Taipei Taoyuan International Airport. Hehe, we checked in and boarded the China Airlines back to Singapore.
